Witchcraft by Cinetools Review

Anyone who works with sound design to picture knows that finding useful sounding sound FX libraries is difficult. Witchcraft by Cinetools focuses on elemental and dark sound files for your next job. While the prime use is for yourupcoming fantasy production, the included content works very good for movies in overall, trailer, game, and advertising. If you listen carefully to a TV-Show or even a dry documentary, they all include these days these kinds of sounds. Cinetools send a review copy with no strings attached.

Witchcraft (Affiliate Link) includes over 13GB of elemental dark magic SFX with +1750 high-quality sound effects that are grouped by sound for magical content related to spells, curses, kill cast, conjures, exploration, defense, transformation, and attack. Great for your next job on doing the sound effects for a fantasy movie.

The library has been recorded and produced by Cinetools a company specialized on high-quality sound effects, foley and field recordings for cinematic purposes.

Witchcraft Making off

The library split roughly into three parts with subsections: Designed, Designer Tools, and Pre-Designed. In those sections, you find sounds ready for  Acid, Earth, Electricity, Fire, Ice, Nature, and Water magic. If the spell lands it helps to have some sounds to show (via audio) that the effect was immolation, paralyze, torment, petrification, summon, acid lance, glacial spike, energy burst, firebolt, fulmination, frozen touch, sandstorm, waterspout, fire arrow, cauterize, boulder cast, telekinesis, ignition, blizzard spell, water strike, revenge spell, acid rain, etc. Or do you need just a sound to conjure or summon some long-buried monster?

Additional sounds cover Atmospheres, Drones, Piercers, Reverses, Stingers, Subs, Sweeps, Textures, Voices, buzz power, electrocution, electric glitches and noises, sparks, statics, welding, black powder burst, blowtorch, gas flames, gunpowders, hair spray, burning oil, frying bacon, oil burst, ice crackles, ice impacts, aquarium air stones, boiling cornstarch, bubbling water, drifting and sliding rock, sand and gravel crackles, wind, woods and more.

The included sounds are beneficial, come with excellent applied effects and ready to be layered or processed by further effects plugins.

User interface & Usability

After downloading you receive sound files in the different folder. There is no UI except your choice of 3rd party tool to browse through the sounds. I used Audiofinder as an external tool in my video above.

Rating:  Five out of five stars

Witchcraft (Affiliate Link) is a valuable selection of sounds for your next project. Perfect for fantasy or dark stories or anytime you want to intensify a scene and need the special sound effect to do so.
