Introducing Cinesamples “Artist Series,” Taylor Davis Solo Violin!

Back in April, Cinesamples collaborated with Taylor Davis, composer, and violinist of YouTube fame, to record the latest Cinesamples Kontakt Library: Artist Series – Taylor Davis Solo Violin. Strings and violins are especially difficult to sample. Cinesamples worked with Taylor, a profoundly artistic violinist to capture a variety of articulations to get the an organic violin sound possible.

In the video below, Mike Patti goes over some of the techniques he uses to efficiently record scores as mock-ups. Making mock-ups is a highly useful part of being a composer, so the better and faster you get at it, the more successful you’ll be!
