Evo Elysium is a collection of 100 presets for Padshop 2 containing melodic arpeggios to rich layered pads and dynamic, expressive synth keys, edgy basses and ambient sequences which all fuse together in this fresh ambient release – balanced with a hint of the 80s and influenced by artists like Tangerine Dream, The Orb, Tycho, Vangelis, and Enya.

Padshop 2 is a synthesizer by Steinberg, containing two co-existing sound engines, a granular engine and a spectral oscillator and Evo Elysium is taking full advantage of both engines. The soundbank is created in coordination with Steinberg and is also officially available to order directly at Steinberg.

Evo Elysium is 90MB and requires activation via the eLicenser which is the software to register Steinberg products. If you have a USB-eLicenser, you can use that instead. When ordered, you will receive an activation code that you will need to enter into the eLicenser to register the soundbank before you can play the sounds.

There’s a PDF guide included, describing how to install the set. As always, all presets are leaving a few dB headroom. Modwheel, an afterthought, and velocity are assigned and can be used for more expression.
