WG2 MkII – Studio Grand Piano

The SAMPLETEKK Team used an old, LARGE, Malmsjö Grand piano from around 1910, that had the clarity needed to work in modern production, but also, at the same time, had the richness at the well-contoured bass side that would provide the power needed on the lower part of the keyboard without getting muddy.

The SAMPLETEKK Team recorded two versions using different microphone combinations. One close and one a bit more ambient. The first resulted in the White Grand and the second in the White Sister. The two perspectives are included in WG2 MkII (Affiliate Link)

SampleTekk recorded the White Grand and the White Sister their goal was not to create ”the ultimate Grand Piano”.

Grand Piano can be used in so many ways, from playing Mozart to hammer out Jerry Lee or Little Richard stuff and everything in between, SampleTekk realized that there isn’t anything that could be considered ”The ultimate Grand Piano” in the world of multi-sampled instruments.

This library is based on the magnificent Steinway D, recorded in a concert hall for the true concert grand experience.

Three different microphone perspectives, Close, Ambient, and Medium Ambiance that you can mix together. Incredible 48 samples/note puts this instrument in a class of its own.

Pricing and Availability

Originally $199, the WG2 MkII Studio Grand Piano library (Affiliate Link) is available for just $24.99 from today until September 13th, 2020.
