Wish Upon a Star | Lyra-8 – Phonogene x 2 – Z-DSP

Somehow while playing with Lyra-8 I always want more voices. I had my two Phonogenes still mounted in my experimental case so I took it for a spin. This piece is inspired by Close Encounters of the Third Kind where a synth is used to communicate with alien visitors. It’s a shame they have to keep a safe distance these days, so ‘close’ would mean at least 5 ft or 1.5 meters.

The legendary four note theme is composed by John Williams, which is my favorite movie composer of all times. He’s a huge source of inspiration and goal I can never ever achieve or come near.
