Domestic Percussion Machine

Who knows and that is my personal guess: the project began as a joke, but quickly evolved into an instrument that can be used for sound design and composition.

The truth is that KITCHENOLOGY was created by recording the amazing multi-instrumentalist Charlie Dalin playing 48 different kitchen items with 12 round robins for each sample. The end result is an album that will have you itching to get your hands on a spatula and start flipping burgers!

About Charlie Dalin

Charlie Dalin was born and raised in Cameroon and graduated from L’Institut Supérieur des Techniques du Son in Paris as a sound engineer.

Charlie Dalin is an accomplished percussionist, drummer, guitarist, whistler, and multi-instrumentalist composer. He has worked as a stage and studio musician as well as playing and composing for video games, film, dance, and soundbank creation.

Some Zero G audio samples were recorded with a variety of additions to make them as creative and percussive as possible.

Some examples include adding cloth on top so that it can create the kick drum sound, while others have used objects like bottles or bowls in order to add more depth for percussion sounds which are not usually produced from these items alone

Kitchenology requires the FULL version of Kontakt 6.6.0 – It will not work in the FREE Kontakt Player except in demo mode.
